Jennifer Luboski, Ph.D.

Today you are one step closer to a new you that is empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.

My goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. Although we can't change difficult situations of the past and sometimes can't change those in the present, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Whether you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

In our therapy sessions, we’ll work to solve current problems and change thinking and behavior. I'll help you “re-frame” your reactions and provide you with valuable tools to cope with life’s obstacles. I use empirically validated approaches, such as cognitive behavior therapy, cognitive processing therapy for trauma, and acceptance and commitment therapy.  I see clients aged 18 and older.

About Me
Jennifer Luboski, Ph.D.
(she/her/hers)

I am licensed to practice psychology in Nevada (#PY1085) and have the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT #16128) in WA and potentially other PsyPact jurisdictions. I earned a doctorate (1998) and a master’s degree (1994) in clinical psychology from The Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA, a program fully accredited by the American Psychological Association. I graduated from The College of Wooster, a small liberal arts college in Ohio, with a B.A. and departmental honors in Psychology. I am a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  I completed a one-year pre-doctoral internship (1996-1997) in clinical psychology at Hutchings Psychiatric Center, in Syracuse, NY, which is fully accredited by the American Psychological Association. I have been recognized by the National Register as a Health Service Provider in Psychology (#50538). I am also a member of the American Psychological Association.

During my doctoral training, I spent eight years providing psychotherapy and psychological assessments in rural community mental health centers and in an urban psychiatric hospital. While an undergraduate, I volunteered at and was employed by an agency that provided shelter and services to women and children victims of domestic violence.  I was an instructor in the Washington State University Psychology Department from 1997 to 2016 and was on the faculty of Counseling and Testing Services from August 1998 to May 2002.  I was in private practice in Pullman, WA from 2000 to 2021, providing couples counseling and individual counseling to teens and adults with a wide variety of concerns. During that time I also worked on a local agency's grant to provide therapy to survivors of sexual assault and abuse and consultation to the agency's staff who offered a community support group to those survivors.

I am particularly interested in the treatment of life adjustments and transitions, anxiety disorders, depression and other mood disorders, sexual abuse and assault, interpersonal concerns, and stress in members of the LGBTQ+ community.
